Welcome to Snow Rogers Elementary!

SRES Student Registration Requirements

The following documents are required when registering a new student (transfer outside of Gardendale or Jefferson County Schools)
        ◦       Proof of Residence – Mortgage/lease/rental agreement and two current utility bills (i.e. water, gas, telephone, electricity, cable/satellite).
        ◦       Child’s Certified Birth Certificate
        ◦       Child’s Social Security Card 
        ◦       Child’s Immunization Record 
        ◦       Photo ID of Legal Parent/Guardian 
        ◦       Proof of Guardianship (if the child is adopted, in foster care, or living with someone other than a birth parent)
        ◦       Name and address of the last school attended

Documents Required for Students Transferring within Jefferson County Schools

        ◦       Proof of Residence – Mortgage/lease/rental agreement and two current utility bills (i.e. water, gas, telephone, electricity, cable/satellite).
        ◦       Photo ID of Legal Parent/Guardian 

Registration is every Monday and Tuesday in the month of July beginning July 9th between the hours of 8:00-3:00.  The 40 voluntary K/1 students will be accepted at that time on a first come- first serve basis.  If you have any questions concerning registration please call 379-5400.

A real-life Rosie the Riveter visited the 4th grade students to discuss life in Alabama during WWII. Dr. Fran Carter riveted bomber planes at the Birmingham airport that flew during the war.
